Join Our Marketing Team
Join our dynamic marketing team and contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding vacation experiences to our guests. As a Marketing Assistant, you will have the opportunity to develop your marketing skills and contribute to the growth of Bluewater.
This is a hybrid position- the person hired for this role must live in Carteret County, NC, and have transportation to be in the office and work at various locations within the county.
Job Summary: As a Marketing Assistant, you will work closely with the Marketing Team to comprehensively support various marketing needs. You will be responsible for executing marketing strategies, assisting in the creation of marketing materials, coordinating campaigns, conducting market research, and performing administrative tasks to facilitate smooth marketing operations.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to implement marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Assist in the capture, creation, and editing of marketing materials, including social media posts, blog content, website updates, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and online promotions.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the company’s website, ensuring accuracy and engaging content.
- Engage with the Bluewater online community via social media platforms, including scheduling posts, and responding to comments.
- Support the marketing team in organizing and promoting special events or initiatives.
- Collaborate with external vendors, businesses, and partners to execute joint marketing efforts, more specifically in the curation of the annual magazine publication/guest guide: The Beacon.
- Monitor Flip.to dashboard- social engagement platform promoting community advocacy for Bluewater Vacation Rentals.
- Perform general administrative tasks to ensure smooth marketing operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in marketing or related roles is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Familiarity with website content management system (CMS- WordPress preferred) and email marketing platforms.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

EXPERIENCE: I started in Real Estate with my own rental business and was there for 15 years. After this, I began selling Real Estate, joined Bluewater in 2008 as a Property Manager, and in 2011 moved to Human Resources. Collectively I bring over 30 years of experience and could not imagine working with a better team.
