Cedar Point is a peaceful little town nestled between Swansboro and Cape Carteret and is approximately 10 minutes from the beaches of the Crystal Coast. You will find impeccable views of Bogue Sound, the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, and the White Oak River in this quaint and quiet town.
BOATHOUSE CREEK WALKING TRAILS: If enjoying nature is at the top of your list, this 56-acre waterfront park includes 18 acres of coastal wetlands. The Park provides recreational opportunities for the residents and visitors as well. With more than 3,500 feet of shoreline, it also provides an exceptional view of these coastal waterways. It’s the perfect place to observe and photograph many of the plant and animal species native to Cedar Point.
CEDAR POINT TIDELAND TRAIL: Another great spot for nature lovers to explore is the Tideland Trail. Choose from the 1.3-mile loop or the 0.6-mile loop or try both! Walk over tidal salt marsh boardwalks and loops through a hardwood and pine forest. Enjoy the panoramic views of the White Oak River estuary and salt marshes. Look for wading birds, songbirds, osprey, and ducks. You may even spot fiddler crabs in the marsh! See if you can spot raccoon tracks in the mud.
THE MARKET AT CEDAR POINT: The Market at Cedar Point is a family-owned and operated farmers market you can count on to always have fresh locally sourced produce, meats, seafood, and goods. The store is open during the week, but every Saturday they hold their famous farmer’s market with food trucks, craft vendors, and so much more.
NEUSE SPORT SHOP: Neuse Sports Shop has everything from coastal recreation needs to a nice gift for mom. They have a wide variety of fishing rods, clothing for the whole family, beach gear, gifts for the whole family, and even your furry friend. There is also an area of old-fashioned candy, snacks, and everything you might need for a trip to the beach!
BOGUE HOUSE RESTAURANT: Eat where the locals eat and experience true, down-home NC BBQ! Known as the Yellow Joint in Cedar Point, Bogue House is a local favorite. If North Carolina barbecue isn’t your thing, you’ll also find seafood and chicken on the menu, too. This casual dining restaurant welcomes you as you are.
