Moonshadows

Really enjoyed the layout, decor, proximity to ocean, game room and overall “good feel” vibes of Moonshadows. This is our 5th year at this location and have already reserved for 2025.

The ocean views from almost every room in the house were amazing, we have two small children and they loved being able to see the beach and waves. Sitting out on the swing on the deck listening to the waves was for sure a highlight of the trip. A nice short walk to the beach was perfect, close enough to run home at lunch time for naps.

We loved the view from both decks of this house, and the very short walk to the beach!! It was easy to walk back for a quick lunch everyday, which we ate on the lower deck in the shade. Both decks are well furnished and all the little side tables were perfect to set your food/drinks. We also loved to sit on the lounge chairs of the upper deck at night to see the stars and catch the cool sea breeze.
The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed and more, as we cooked most of our meals here.
The family room had very comfy couches and all the beds were also comfortable. The exterior of the house had been newly painted and lots of new deck boards installed, it looked very well done.
We loved this house, the view, and the price!!!

Great location. You can see and hear the ocean from most areas of the house. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and has lots of games and things to amuse the family. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Moonshadows several times a few years ago, but since retiring we've been staying at multiple beachfront units at least once each spring or fall. However, now that grand children are involved we're back to school schedules. Moonshadows was like coming home! It's comfortable and very convenient to everything the Crystal Coast has to offer. Thank you Mary and Tom. It's good to be back. Jim, Linda and family.

Beautiful house! Wonderful location literally steps from the gorgeous beach. This is the best house we have ever stayed in ! The decks alone are outstanding! We stayed outside the entire time! Kitchen is fully stocked but do bring a chefs knife if you are a chef! Love this place,it was our first time on Emerald Isle and we will rent this house over and over agin!

Great ocean view home! Very comfortable family house, beautifully decorated. Several great areas in this home like quiet bedrooms, large kitchen/dining space with patio doors that lead to a screen porch for those rainy days/starry nights. A lower level game room a perfect spot for kids. Awesome decks at every level with new furniture that always had wonderful ocean breeze and ocean sounds. Two minute walk to heaven. Five stars!

Great house, great location. Deep porch that has an ocean view but is shaded all day (for those of us who can't handled full sun all the time). Beautifully equipped kitchen if you like to cook for your family, or share meals with a group. One quirk - the nicest bathroom in the house (large walk-in shower) opens directly on the living room, just odd placement. No one in our group used it. There is a great, private outdoor shower that got a lot of use.

We loved two things about this house - the shaded decks that always caught a breeze and the INCREDIBLY well-equipped kitchen - and we liked a lot more things. We always have a large family group at the beach plus friends who live close by, so we prefer eating at home to going out. The ability to cook and enjoy meals together was just right. Plus, there is plenty of seating room in the living room and on the deck, a fun game room for the kids, comfortable beds, lots of storage. It's just the whole, great package. And we've already reserved for next year!

We have stayed here for several years now and find this property perfect for us. Love the easy access to the beach using Randy's Way - no steps over the dune! Love the views from both porches.

The middle floor porch with its view of the ocean even tho house is one row back is great. Ease of beach access is another big plus, since this house is so close to 'Randy's Way'...no steps over the dune!

I have stayed at 2 other rentals in the last 6 years. Moonshadows is by far the best value and most 'homelike'. Absolutely NOTHING to complain about. Extremely well stocked kitchen, plenty of drawer space, hangars, cleaning supplies, full size washer, outdoor shower, clothesline, grill, and beach chairs. Next time I stay here, I will pack more lightly. It would have been convenient to have an extra small drink fridge in the gameroom or garage so that we didn't have to lug the beach cooler up the stairs. But we were so thrilled about the place, it was not an issue.

Lovely rental. Well equipped kitchen and dining areas. Clean and generally fresh looking. A warm and welcoming rental.

The 2 private bath billing is a bit misleading. All 3 bedrooms on 3rd floor share what is billed as a private bath that does have a 2nd door directly to 1 bedroom. If used as a private bath the other 2 bedrooms use the very public one off the living area down the steps on the second floor. This might work for a family, but could be awkward for some situations.

It was well supplied, furniture was comfortable, bedroom furniture comfortable and loved the bureau drawers under the beds. A very liveable house. Loved the office with computer available to guests.
