Sharon Salmon grew up in Southwestern Virginia but has spent most of her adult life in North Carolina. A state she has come to love and proudly calls home. She began her real estate career in 1973 while working in Panama City, Florida. After a year and a half, Sharon returned home to North Carolina, where she began a career in Property Management. She worked for large companies and property developers in Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh.

Later she formed her own Property Management & Counseling Company located in Durham. Sharon Salmon has managed teams in new construction and renovations, from interior & exterior appointments to visual aids in marketing and leasing. She gave motivational and sales speeches for management companies and other businesses. Sharon taught economics at the McKimmons Center in Raleigh as part of the program for candidates seeking Certified Apartment Managers designation. She received her Property Management Certification through the Institute of Real Estate Management in Chicago, Illinois. After retiring to the Crystal Coast in 1989, Sharon Salmon opted to open a retail store on the Atlantic Beach Causeway in 1996. For nine years, she owned and operated her highly successful home decor retail store, Somethin’ Fishy. Retiring for the second time, Sharon wanted to return to her first career choice in Real Estate.
