The Most Moved to State of 2013

North Carolina 3rd most moved to state 2nd year in a row

The 2013 tallies are in! A collection of geographical information provided by one of America’s top moving companies, United Van Lines, illustrates the comings and goings of Americans this past year. Among the top most moved to states, sits North Carolina, in third, only 2.5% behind South Carolina. Most moves are a result of job transfers, retirement, pursuit of happiness (a long life dream), or just good ol’ fashion warmer weather, which is where the Carolinas chime in. The United Van Lines Vice President Carl Walter states, “We’ve been tracking the number of inbound and outbound domestic moves for nearly 40 years… ” His company’s research provided enough insight to create a top moving in and a top moving out ordered list.
