The 4th of July weekend is the perfect time to get together with family & friends. It is also the perfect time to honor our nation’s history and active & retired military. Here are some fun things you can do on the Crystal Coast this weekend!
The Crystal Coast Summer Festival
July 2, 2017
Head down to this community event hosted at Big Rock Landing on the Morehead City waterfront. The festival runs from 4-10 PM featuring live music, NC local seafood, beverages, street vendors, and beautiful waterfront views! The mission of this festival is to honor our active duty and retired military with proceeds from the event benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project. The 4th of July weekend is the perfect time to honor our nation’s history, active and retired military, while at the same time supporting the Wounded Warrior Project.
The gates open at 4 PM with street vendors, drinks, and delicious food! Chairman of the Board goes on the main stage live at 5 PM, bringing soulful sounds to the Morehead City waterfront. Chairman of the Board has been a staple of the music community since the 1970s and they continue to impress local crowds today.
Following Chairman of the Board’s performance, The Breakfast Clubs cranks up the tunes at 8 PM. They are the longest running, most recognized ’80s tribute band in the United States. Formed in 1993, the group was the first of its kind.
General admission tickets are available with a $5 suggested donation. VIP tickets and more information are available online at www.CCsummerfest.com.
This is a family-friendly event with fun for all ages! We encourage you to attend wearing red, white and blue to celebrate and honor with us!
