I noticed right away that they were very personal and easy to work with. Throughout the entire process, Zena, the wedding planner, was amazing! She was always very helpful even when I emailed her after her work hours. I didn't feel the stress of wedding planning but instead enjoyed the six months that I was engaged. I was not sure how everything that I had picked was going to come together but I was very assured Zena would take care of it! Now that the wedding is over I can honestly say I wouldn't have changed a thing about my wedding day! The Islander was a perfect place to get married and Zena made the whole day stress free. August 2012 "My son is very ill and because of his declining health and the amount of time/effort it takes to get to the beach (It takes us 12 very long/hard hours) and because of that I knew this would be his last trip down. Most beaches are not accessible (Condos nor the beach) but, last year we found Emerald Isle and came down for a couple days to scope it out. This was our first trip anywhere in 12 years due to his health and lack of access. Fast forward to last week. He was able to make the trip one last time and because of the kindness/generosity/accessibility we were able to get him ALL THE WAY down to the oceans edge. He has very limited vision but loves to smell/feel/taste the ocean. I watched with tears streaming down as my son sat for 1 hour in no distress at all enjoying his favorite place to be. Thank you so much Emerald Isle fire department for loaning us the beach wheelchair and allowing him to use it after dark. Thank you Emerald Isle police department for keeping the public access open beyond normal closing time so he could enjoy the ocean and thank you Emerald Isle for making the island/condo(Queens Court)/beach so accessible for my son. Thank you medi home care for setting up all his life support equipment/oxygen/medical needs for us prior to our arrival and for taking care of him while we were there. Thank you maintenance for coming at 4:30 a.m. when we staggered in to no hot water. Thank you to my sons nurse for coming along to help care for him. From the bottom of our hearts Jophie and I thank you. I will never forget last week ..."

August 2011 "I was planning on a May wedding at an oceanfront beach house for about 85 people and really didn't think it was necessary to hire a wedding planner - it was going to be classy but casual. I thought we could take care of the details ourselves and save that money for something else. My mother thought we really needed someone to help us so I gave in and we hired Chelsea from Bluewater. She gave us fantastic recommendations for everything from caterers to cakes to where to get our nails done. We used all her suggestions. For months I emailed several times a week and she always responded quickly. On the big day she and Katy showed up at noon and guided us through the wedding at 5:30 on the beach and through the reception until after 11:00. They handled every little problem that came up and even kept the rain away until late. We started with a great wedding planner and ended up with a friend. Hiring them was the best choice I made - except for the groom of course :)

July 2011 "We just spent a week at EI and went through Bluewater Vac. Rentals & Real Estate. They were super nice. While vacationing, our cottage had a leak due to blowing rain. We called the maintenance # and reported the problem. Maintenance was to the cottage within 3 hours to check the problem. Highly recommend Bluewater Vac. Rentals & Real Estate when renting for vacation."
